It also has pretty limited build plains, and the terrain becomes more challenging the further away you move from the start square. The plopped harbors will be your only avenue of freight or Cims entering/leaving Tropico, at least until you unlock harbors or airports of your own. This map has no road or rail connections, as it is, you know, an island. Some 30 hours or more of poking around at it on and off after work some days (oh BOY was it a pain to get the water to do what I wanted…I could weave a tail about that alone) eventually led me here, and since some friends of mine wanted to play around with it, I figured I’d put it on the workshop. Tropico! is my first map and not based on any specific maps from the famous Tropico games, more that I was inspired by it because I really, really love the aesthetics of island maps, and mainly I used the idea of a tropical island to play around with and learn how the various map editing tools worked. 'Welcome to Tropico, Presidente, your very own island paradise! Sure, she might not be much to look at now with the lack of services, buildings, roads, toilet paper or even citizens, but she has a wealth of beauty and riches waiting to be uncovered by someone as brave, as daring, as good-…well, as looking as yourself.
